Privacy policy

This policy explains how Invest Direct ("we", "us") collects and uses personal data when you use our website or our research assistant on WhatsApp or Microsoft Teams. We follow Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

What we collect

• WhatsApp: your phone number, your WhatsApp profile name, and the messages you send to our assistant.
• Microsoft Teams: your account name and the messages you send to our assistant.
• Email: your email address and anything you include when you contact us.

We do not ask for payment details, identity documents or information about your investments.

How we use it

• To check that you are an invited user.
• To answer your questions and send you replies.
• To keep the service secure, fix problems and understand how it is used.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for marketing, and we do not send you messages you did not ask for.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to run the service. They process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms:

• Meta Platforms (WhatsApp): delivers messages between you and our assistant.
• Microsoft (Azure, Copilot Studio and Teams): hosts the assistant and processes your messages to create replies.

These providers may store or process data outside Singapore. Messages sent through WhatsApp are also subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

Conversation records are kept only as long as needed to run and support the service, and in any case no longer than 12 months, unless the law requires otherwise.

Your choices and rights

• You can stop using the service at any time by no longer messaging the assistant.
• You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
• You can withdraw your consent for us to use your personal data.

Security

We use access controls and the security features of our providers to protect your data. No system is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive personal or financial information through the assistant.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
